The Palazzo Vecchio in Florence has started putting out short, entertaining videos on YouTube. The costumes used are in general not perfect, but quite lovely, and it's a nice glance into the historical building. I watched these two today:

The Moda a Firenze has included a small miniature painting, where an audience in the Palazzo Vecchio is depicted. It shows Cosimo I de' Medici and Eleonora di Toledo seated, and either Maria or Isabella standing in front of them, greeting visitors. I took some photos at Palazzo Pitti before I understood pictures wasn't allowed (it really varies when it's allowed and not... Surprisingly many allows photos without flash, for example the Vatican museum, the Capitol museum and the Palazzo Vecchio. In other places you almost get knocked down for even asking...).
